Southwest School of Art & Craft
Fall 2010
Introduction to BRONZclay
by Lorena Angulo
Class 3019 (New)
Bronzclay is one of the newest metal clays in the market and is
easily sculpted, molded, carved and formed. Fire it in a kiln, burn off
the binder and you are left with a pure bronze form!
This wonderful clay is not as expensive as silver clay and can give you
the opportunity to make larger pieces for less.
During the class we will learn how to work with the clay by using very
simple tools, how to fire it correctly and finishing techniques.
Note: As there will be a firing schedule for using the kiln, it
is important for students to attend class consistently. Students should
expect to walk away with several finished pieces.
